Currently in Boston — September 7, 2023: Even hotter Thursday
Plus, announcing Currently Sponsorships — a new way to reach our local audience.
The weather, currently.
Hot and humid
A persistent flow of hot and humid air will continue for the next couple of days. Temperatures on Thursday morning will start in the mid-70s for one of the warmest September mornings on record. During the afternoon areas just away from the coastline we'll see actual temperatures in the lower 90s and it will feel between 95 and 100.
There's no chance of any showers or thunderstorms in spite of the heat. The warm weather continues at night Thursday night and Friday also looks very hot with temperatures in the lower '90s. It will finally cool off a bit on Saturday and Sunday with more clouds. It will still be humid.
We will also be watching what will eventually be hurricane Lee become a major hurricane in the Atlantic. This storm is unlikely to impact the East Coast directly but still needs to be watched carefully for the next week.
