Currently in Boston — October 18, 2023: A sunny day ahead

The weather, currently.

A sunny day ahead

Clouds will continue to hang tough overnight with temperatures falling back down to the 40s. Winds will be light. The lack of mixing in the air has kept the clouds from dissipating much of the day and the good news is tomorrow we will see more in the way of sunshine. Temperatures will reach the '60s for Thursday one of the nicer days this week.

On Friday a storm system approaches. Clouds thicken and rain or rain showers follow in the afternoon. The showers will continue into Saturday and depending on how a low-pressure area unfolds will determine if they linger into Sunday or if we’ll get some partial clearing. Either way, it's going to become windy on Sunday in the afternoon.
