Currently in Boston — November 16, 2023: Showers arrive Friday night

The weather, currently.

A pair of mild days will boost temperatures into the 60° range for both Thursday and Friday. Look for plenty of sunshine Thursday but there will be some increase in cloudiness on Friday. Both days feature no chance of any rain.

A cold front does approach Friday night. This brings showers to the region by morning and somewhat gusty winds. Temperatures will be in the 50s on Saturday with the showers coming to an end during the early afternoon. If low pressure which is off the coastline comes closer there will be more rain but as of now that storm looks to miss most of Southern New England. It will be blustery and colder on Sunday.

I’ll just get right to it: Currently’s new weather service is now live.

The first round of invites have been sent to those of you who opted in early via this week’s survey. Our goal — as always — is to co-create the most personalized, most informative weather service that exists. And, above all, to make this service accessible, equitable, and resilient enough to bring safety and joy to the climate emergency.
