Showers return

A cold front will bring showers along with clouds for Thursday. The heaviest showers are likely to be along and just south of the Massachusetts turnpike but all of Southern New England has the risk of a few showers. There could be a few thunderstorms especially in the afternoon and evening. It will be a bit muggy as well with the cloud cover and temperatures in the 60s to lower 70s.

Heading into the weekend an upper level system will keep a chance for a few pop-up showers, especially on Sunday. Temperatures will be in the lower to mid-70s. There will also be some periods of sunshine between the cloud cover. I don't see any heat or prolonged humidity on the horizon for now.

Showers are back in the forecast for Thursday along with a bit of humidity. Temperatures will be in the 60s to lower '70s because of the cloud cover, not as warm as it was earlier Wednesday. A cold front is approaching and this is bringing the return of inclement weather. As the front gets closer there could also be a thunderstorm with heavier downpours in a few spots. As we head into the weekend the weather pattern remains somewhat unsettled with changeable skies and the chance for a few showers. I think the highest likelihood comes on Sunday with temperatures in the 60s to mid 70s. Coolest at the water.
