The weather, currently.

Heat wave in progress

A dome of high pressure will continue to dominate the weather pattern through the end of the work week. Temperatures will continue to rise reaching the 90s Tuesday through Friday. A few spots May touch the 100° mark on Thursday afternoon. There is a heat advisory posted for Tuesday and there could be a high heat warning as well if the effects of the heat and humidity increase onWednesday and Thursday.

Any chance of showers is limited. On Friday, a cold front will approach so there will be a better chance of a couple of showers or thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. It remains warm and somewhat muggy this weekend.

Overall this stretch of weather this time of the year could end up as one of the warmest on record. The nights are also going to be very warm with many areas not going under 70° all night.
