Currently in Boston — June 17, 2024: heatwave begins Tuesday

The weather, currently.

High pressure will build into the Northeast over the next few days bringing heat nearly unprecedented for this time of year.

Temperatures on Monday will be in the lower 80s with plenty of sunshine. It will warm to the low 90s on Tuesday with an increase in humidity. Wednesday and Thursday bring dangerous heat with temperatures 95 to 100 degrees. When you combine the humidity it will feel between 95 and 105. Heat warnings are in effect and will continue until Thursday evening. By Friday it will still be hot and humid but a cold front will bring showers and thunderstorms.
