Currently in Boston — June 14, 2024: A few thunderstorms this evening before a beautiful weekend

The weather, currently.

Warm and humid air will be entrenched across the region Friday. A cold front arrives Friday afternoon and will bring the chance for scattered showers and storms. Some of those could contain a downpour, but it's also likely that they could miss you altogether.

After the showers end, we’ll be set up for a very nice weekend with plenty of sunshine. I’m looking for highs in the mid-70s Saturday and upper 70s for Father's Day.

It turns much warmer next week with readings getting near 90 by Tuesday and well into the 90s for a few days after that. It's been a very dry month so far so be sure you are watering any garden plants, especially if they are in containers. Have a great weekend.
