Currently in Boston — August 30, 2024: A great Friday ahead

The weather, currently.

August will likely end up as the first cooler than average month in Boston since last year with temperatures Friday slightly below average. It has been a nice summer month with beach weather and low humidity, but also some cooler nights and more comfortable days.

Interestingly, if this August is measured against those of the late 1800s and early 1900s, in those thirty years this would have been the second hottest on record!

The weekend looks to feature a chance of showers for Sunday after a warmer and partly to mostly cloudy Saturday. Labor Day will see more sun and cooler air again. Have a great weekend.
